At Desert Cross Community Church we believe:   

• We Believe that God created man to be in face to face relationship with him.
  Man is lost in sin and God is actively on a mission to redeem mankind for himself. His desire is that all people respond to Him in faith. God has chosen us to be His instruments to reach out to the world with the message of His redeeming grace. We are His means of bringing His message to the world.

• We Believe that every person, believer and non-believer alike, is valuable to God and to His Kingdom.
  Because people are eternally valuable to God, they are to us as well. Responsible evangelism will always be our cause and ongoing discipleship will always be the core of the ministry.

• We Believe that ministry is everyone’s responsibility – a team effort is God's design for effective ministry.
  Serving the Lord and the church with a joyful heart is the call of every believer in Jesus Christ. At Desert Cross we know it takes many hands and willing hearted involvement of every person for God's plan being accomplished.

• We Believe that a simple presentation of Jesus Christ in creative ways will impact and transform lives.
  Relating to our culture through messages that speak to the issues of today, while remaining true to the Scriptures is a balance we will always keep. We believe we should present the Gospel in such a way that reaches the heart by touching the everyday aspect of our lives.

• In keeping with the Great Commandment, we believe every member should commit to a lifestyle of consistent spiritual growth with honest accountability.
  A true faith will be expressed by a genuine love for God. Every believer should yearn for continual spiritual growth. Therefore, we believe that every believer should be involved in discipleship through small groups, with accountability partners, and that open honesty is critical to maturing in our faith.

• We Believe that every member is a minister who has been given gifts to be discovered, developed, and deployed.
  We are a gift-based, volunteer driven church. Each believer will find his greatest joy and fulfillment when serving in his spiritual gifts and passion. Every believer is created for ministry, gifted for ministry, authorized for ministry, and needed for ministry.

• We Believe that God is worthy of our very best.
  Therefore, a growing spirit of excellence should permeate every ministry activity. God deserves our very best, but does not call us to a life of impossible perfection. He alone is perfect and calls us to use our gifts and talents to the best of our ability. We will strive to keep a spirit openness to consistent evaluation and a willingness to improve for the sake of the Kingdom of God. 

• We Believe that genuine love and caring relationships are key to the life of every endeavor.
  Conflict is a part of our fallen existence. We will give our attention to solving for the solution to each problem that comes our way. We refuse to give into assigning blame for problems in a way that creates division in the body. Our goal is to resolve conflict in a manner that creates harmony and unity in the body. We value healthy relationships by protecting the unity of the Spirit in our church.

• We Believe that the most effective evangelism happens through people inviting people.
  We believe that the gospel spreads fastest through our personal relationships. Each life will reach a life. Each believer intentionally develops genuine relationships with friends and family and extends an invitation to them. Evangelism gets to be a normal, natural lifestyle of winning others to Christ, one by one.

• We Believe in identifying, encouraging and training the next generation of leaders who are fully committed to Christ and who will reach their generation with the Gospel.
  God is raising up a new generation of men and women who will take the gospel through godly character, authentic faith, and servant-hearted leadership into the next generation.
