Ever get up on the wrong side of the bed? It can be easy to do if you're not careful. I say that because as a follower of Jesus I believe we can allow the day to choose our attitude for us, or we can choose our attitude for the day. What do I mean by that? Simply this, my heart and my mind are in subjection to my spirit and if I allow the "stuff" around me to influence my spirit then everyday will be the "wrong side of the bed" kind of day. But we have to remember that as believers we have a choice that the world around us doesn't have. We have the option to choose wisely.

To choose wisely means that we recognize God is in the everyday affairs of life. This is everything from what goes on at your house all the way to the White House. When we choose wisely, we make the choice of will to align our spirit with the Holy Spirit and believe that God is at work in our homes, communities and our country. With that choice of will, and alignment with Holy Spirit, we have chosen what attitude we will have for the day.

So, even though the news says over and again these are Troubling Times, they are also times for God to show his mighty power in our lives, our homes and our country. When we come to the end of our ability, we are just getting to the beginning of God's ability. and that means for us as believers these may be troubling times on the news, but we see them as Expectant Days, knowing that God is in the midst of them and His power is about to be shown for our good.
