These are both great questions. I'm sure your heart has asked these same questions a time or two concerning our future together as Desert Cross Community Church. I hope my answer is a simple one. And I hope it challenges your heart.

      I believe where we are going is forward into the future that God himself has been preparing for us all along. I don't mean that in a general sense, of course God has been preparing a future for us. What I mean is that He has been preparing all of us for the unbelievable future that lies just ahead. You see, He has been working in all of our lives over the last year. Working to show us our need of Him. Working to help us experience His faithfulness. Working to bring us to the place where we as individuals will trust Him with whatever comes our way. He has been showing us His great power in a gentle way.

      When Moses led the children of Israel out of bondage in Egypt, he was told to follow the pillar of fire by night and the pillar of cloud by day. The point was that God would and could call Israel to follow Him at any time. And when He called them to follow, they were to do it day or night. God loves it when His children are rapidly obedient to His voice.

      Where are we going? How will we get there? We are going to follow His lead wherever He leads. And we will learn to live ready to go whenever He says that its time to go. This may be to 'undefined' for some of you. Some may see this as too spontaneous. I prefer to wait in His presence until I see a pillar of fire by night, or cloud by day, and then I want to run to be rapidly obedient to follow His lead.
